Sleeping Cat Tattoo by FelineArtisan Sleeping Cat Tattoo by FelineArtisan
A while back I was considering getting a tattoo, and i tried making my own design of something I know I'll never stop adoring, which is cats. If you're gonna get something permanent on your body, it might as well be something you know you won't be getting tired of any time soon.

This simple, little design is what I came up with, I'm not a tattoo artist, but it looks like something that would easily be made into a tattoo. I would put it on my ankle, but the cost stopped me from getting to it. I decided to colour it and make it into my avatar, but if anyone wants to use the tattoo design, go ahead. Just lemme know, it'd be pretty awesome to see the result.

:bulletred: Any feedback is greatly appreciated! :love:

If you did this at a reasonable size the cost shouldn't be too bad because it's line work and it's black. In US dollars it would be about $50.00 to get that. Which is on the lower side for how much tattoo's can cost.

50 dollars is about 35 euro, and the minimum price friends (that have tattoos) told me i would be looking at, is 70 euro. And that's a lot more than what i was willing to spend, especially with the recess going on. I'd rather save that ammount for a rainy day, yknow? But I found out later, that I could get a better price if I would ask around, but it's a bit too late now, i'm unemployed and can't afford it anymore. ^^;

Maybe if you get some commissions you can save the money for it eventually. I haven't gotten my first tattoo yet either. I've been wanting to for years now and I've just never had the extra $100.00 to do it. Especially when it can go for food or gas for the truck or something. But, one of these day's I'm going to do it! And, you should too!

I haven't been working that much on promoting my stuff right now, so business is kinda low. In a few days I should be able to open an Etsy account, and after that I'll promote myself better. I'll also start making tutorials on youtube, I already made one. But unless i get an actual job, even if i do make money out of this, i don't think I'll decide on getting a tattoo. It just seems a bit silly, with the recess going on, and all the uncertainty :/ It's exactly as you said, there's always other expenses, we have to prioritise. Maybe one day!

That's interesting because I really would have pegged you as someone who would have really wanted to have a tattoo. I'm really sure that things will pick up... over where you are and where I am... and we will both be able to have the little luxuries like tattoo's and piercings and to buy ALL of the art supplies we could ever need! Wouldn't that be great?
I used to have an etsy account... but I didn't like it so I shut it down. Maybe one of these day's I'll open one back up. All though I'd like to get my website promoted more and sell directly off of it rather than through another company. The nice thing about etsy though is that it doesn't cost much to put anything up on the site. I think you can get your work to really sell though, it's very, very well made and very unique!

I really do want one, but I try to be responsible with money, especially since my parents can't support me as much anymore. Yeah hun, that would be great. There's nothing wrong with dreaming and hoping, keep aiming high and one day we'll have all we want.
I think etsy will help a bit. But I gotta figure out how to promote myself better. Thank you so much hun! I try to improve, I know I can do better, there's just so much shit going on and it's difficult to focus on art, you know? :/

Did you think about taking out an add on FB for your fan page? It would cost money of course... but it might give you some advertisement that could lead to commissions? Just something to think about. I'll try my best to advertise for you on my end. Oh and twitter... do you have one? It's supposed to be very good for advertising and Etsy is ALL over twitter. Plus it's free >.<'

Yeah, I did consider it, but I think the price stopped me. Just like advertising here on dA is unbelievably expensive. I think as soon as i start making things again, i'll be selling. I already have new things in mind to make, i just need tiiime >.<' Thank you so much hun, i really appreciate the help. And yes i have a twitter u silly thing, and you're following me :D Teasing you! How do you advertise etsy through twitter?
